  • Creative Time – Public art and justice-driven cultural initiatives, including queer and abolitionist collaborations.
  • Culture Push: An arts and social justice organization that commissions public art, artist residencies, and community projects addressing racial justice, abolition, housing, and civic engagement through collaborative cultural work.
  • BRIC Arts Media – Free and low-cost cultural programming including performance, media arts, and youth programs in Brooklyn.
  • Recess Art A Brooklyn-based nonprofit supporting artists through exhibitions, free public programs, residencies, and Assembly
  • Arts Business Collaborative – Provides fiscal sponsorship and capacity-building for BIPOC-led creative projects.
  • Queer Art – Provides mentorship, exhibitions, and grant opportunities for LGBTQ+ artists.
  • THE SHED: Open Call – Commissions emerging NYC-based artists of all disciplines with an emphasis on equity and experimentation.
  • WOW Café Theatre – East Village grassroots feminist theatre run on anarchist principles by and for women & trans folks, especially women of color, with free-to-attend experimental shows and performances
  • New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) – Offers fellowships, emergency grants, and discipline-specific awards. Many are open to queer, trans, and nonbinary artists based in NYC.
